Quick Start Guide

  1. Place the wireframe masks over the faces until you think they are closely matched
  2. Press the button once and make fine adjustments while looking at the swapped faces
  3. Press the button once or twice to see which direction looks the best
  4. If you're having a hard time getting the faces to look perfect, press the button twice and edit the masks in wireframe again
  5. Press the button to see the final image
  6. We suggest saving both the original and final images through the interface so you have an exact before and after comparison

Single Touch

Using only one finger, touch and drag any of the arrows to move, scale, or rotate the masks.

Multi Touch

Using two fingers, you can zoom and pan the image. To zoom in and out, move your two fingers closer and farther apart. To pan the image, move both finger in the same direction.

Mask Shapes

You can choose between three masks to best fit the picture you're swapping. Different shape masks can make it easier to swap the parts of the image you want.

Mirror Faces

The mirror icon is used to mirror the two faces. When people are looking in opposite directions in a picture, it usually helps to mirror their faces when you swap them. Always press this button a few times to see which mirror direction looks best.

View

Press the view button to switch between the three view modes: Masks, edit with swapped faces, and final image.

Advanced

There are many ways to swap faces or parts of faces using this app. Here are some examples:

The most obvious way is to place the mask from chin to the top of the head:

You can also place the mask from the chin to below the eyebrows which will leave the foreheads and eyebrows untouched:

Swap just the mouth and nose:

For really strange results, you can swap just the inner parts of the faces:

Accessing Photos

If you cannot open or save a photo, you probably didn't give the app access when asked. You can fix this by going to the Settings app and selecting Settings->Privacy->Photos, and then enable access to iSwap Faces.
